There were many long benches all around the visitors center just like this one. Unfortunately, I got the dreaded sun spots in this photo but that meant we also had good weather for hiking that day, unlike the night to come when rains would drench our campground.Pauliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08947247448533001322noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1551847991438388792.post-13193311823388095372008-08-26T08:56:00.001-07:002008-08-26T09:04:24.456-07:00from Katney's Files<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj775F2PoWe90q_pPz9If8AtypDvbG63pCZ7vJ4J22_TXN6AO7cnqPt8WMgUZ_NO5_7LWEkuZHR4W3ib5yfKdG7zoscIkPaemBa0rIiTLhsrfTZi_x5MzxjWT5296emDJh3bupKH2vrF4J_/s320/CIMG3810a.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5238857327466426034" />
Recently, Katney shared this one with me. It is definitely unique, made of thrown away metal parts. Notice the ornate sides made of artistic metal pieces, the step leading to the portion you sit on and the rocker bottom bar. Almost reminds me of a sled! BUT after church on Sunday, it was ten degrees cooler so I went back and am glad I did because I "found" at least half a dozen or more benches there. I will feature them one a day until they are all online. . . Ü You never know when you will stumble on another bench in this town!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhna2wjf8oh29MvUIoOPRO9HFOgP7APCZ2fPerbPBHgW77g_PsuAwcOQjYSz9QfaXcYmMSK4-eoyHZJa7qeU20l_YTxyl_4wBc5AW_2WfztFIk2EuQctgxTr5eGl54D-Eyr3XbfqX6uWgc9/s400/P1010069.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217721200704250002" />
This bench was thrown away at the dump and rescued to use again! People were allowed to "claim" FREE the things thrown away at dump but still useful and someone beat me to this one! Of course, I live in an apartment and couldn't take it anyway so glad I was able to take its picture! I can't understand why the owner didn't give it to a charity like Goodwill. It is a rocker/glider bench! I can imagine a nice cushion on it on someone's front porch!Pauliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08947247448533001322noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1551847991438388792.post-88556231380002158102008-06-29T05:49:00.001-07:002008-12-10T09:02:50.726-08:00Welcoming Bench
This bench is located outside a home in the neighborhood.

It looks so inviting!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1551847991438388792.post-89412931251489874642008-06-29T00:15:00.000-07:002008-12-10T09:02:50.881-08:00Refreshing benches<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgABeCBiWPmvAQ7hgYO5ztXAT8G29MHkJBAu9J_n1aherlr8U9WBdqu0dh6JnMox54s7T4r6Fa5lHoVOeGOe8nZsBGd2c9WUjQecoDYeQsr3epa_tYIcCqb6Jyd8iWVmPdFXT3_SJacxjTK/s400/P1010985.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217093745273722354" />
I took this photo when people were not present because you would not be able to see all the little stone "benches" to sit on if it were a hot day like Saturday was.
